Pregnancy hypothyroidism risk

Women with pre-eclampsia during pregnancy are more likely than other women to have hypothyroidism in late pregnancy or in later years, according to a new analysis.

Stressed students get help  

The Australian and the New Zealand Medical Students’ Associations are compiling a support booklet on coping with stress during study, to be distributed to every new student in 2010.
It’s hoped the inclusion of anecdotes in the booklet will help break down the stigma associated with stress and mental illness that acts as a barrier for medical students seeking help.
