GPs lack email for discharge summaries

Clarification of email vs secure messaging would be helpful. I would expect the use of email for sensitive patient information remains low but use of secure messaging increasingly acceptable and preferred as it is in the ACT. On the other hand, the use by general practice of email for communications of non patient information is increasing as one would expect.
