Changing GP management of child mental health

GPs are more involved in treating psychological problems in children than 20 years ago, with a shift from enuresis and insomnia to anxiety, ADHD and autism.
However, GPs are less likely to prescribe medications and more likely to refer to other health professionals, a study (link) in the Australia and NZ Journal of Psychiatry shows.
