Djakic will not lead Medicare Local network

AGPN Chair Dr Emil Djakic says he will not seek to be the Chair of its replacement, the Australian Medicare Local Network.

The new national co-ordinating body for Medicare Locals announced today by health minister Tanya Plibersek will be developed by the AGPN and run by a “skills based board including clinical and community leaders”

However, Tasmanian GP Dr Djakic has told The Australian (link) that that while he would like to serve on the new network's board he would not be seeking to be its chairman.
