Using PSA velocity rather than PSA values alone improves the predictive capability for prostate cancer, a US study (link) has shown. Values above the “speed limit” of 0.4 ng/mL/year were associated with a five-fold increased odds of Gleason score above eight, the study in BJU International shows.
