The flu vaccines Agrippal and Fluarix may be used in children from the age of six months in 2012, in addition to the two existing approved vaccines Influvac and Vaxigrip, the TGA has announced.
In an updated advisory (link) on flu vaccines for children, the TGA says that Fluvax is still not approved for use in children under the age of five, following the spate of febrile reactions reported for the vaccine in 2010.
