Patients wanting to lose weight would be wise to skip breakfast, according to an Australian study that challenges the belief eating breakfast is essential for weight control.
People who eat breakfast tend to consume more than 250kcal a day more than those who skip the first meal of the day, the review of 13 randomised controlled trials (RCTs) shows.
