Hypoglycaemia is well recognised as a threat for people with type 1 diabetes, but the danger in type 2 diabetes is still underappreciated, US endocrinologists warn.

Efforts should be focused on helping GPs identify high-risk patients who would most benefit from individualised glycaemic targets and educating at-risk patients about how to recognise and manage hypoglycaemic events.
